Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests simply scan your event QR code with their phone camera and use their normal web browser — nothing to install.
Do guests need an account?
No account or sign-up is required to upload. Guests can optionally add their first name so hosts know who took which photo.
Can guests upload existing photos?
Yes — guests can upload photos and videos already on their camera roll, as well as taking new ones on the spot.
Can videos be uploaded?
Yes, subject to the video storage allowance included in your package (with affordable add-ons available if you need more).
Is the gallery private?
Yes. Every gallery is only accessible via its unique link or QR code, and can be further protected with an optional PIN.
Can we approve pictures before they appear?
Yes — enable moderation and every upload waits for host approval before it appears in the live gallery or slideshow.
Can inappropriate content be removed?
Yes, hosts can hide or delete any item at any time, and guests can request removal of their own upload.
Can the gallery appear on a projector or television?
Yes — the live slideshow view is designed for TVs and projectors and refreshes automatically as new photos are approved.
How long are files retained?
Retention depends on your package (from 3 months on Essential up to 24 months on Concierge) and is always shown clearly before you buy.
Can everything be downloaded at once?
Yes, hosts can download a single ZIP file containing every original-quality photo and video, where downloads are enabled.
What happens if the venue has weak Wi-Fi?
Uploads are chunked and retryable, and guests can retry a single failed file without losing the rest of their batch — it just may take a little longer over a weak connection.
Does this replace our professional photographer?
No — MyEvent complements a professional photographer by capturing the candid, guest-eye-view moments they can't be everywhere to catch.
Can corporate galleries carry our branding?
Yes — Signature and Concierge packages support custom colours, logos and welcome screens, with full white-label available on Concierge.
What happens to our data after the event?
Your media is retained for the period included in your package, then scheduled for deletion; you can request export or early deletion at any time from your dashboard.
