Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This page is starter template content generated for the SharedSnapz platform build, written to reflect UK GDPR concepts in plain English. It is not legal advice. Please have it reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before relying on it for a live, paying business.

1. Agreement

By creating an event or account on myevent.co.uk you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

MyEvent provides a QR-code-based system for collecting guest photos and videos into a private online gallery, with optional live slideshow display. Package limits (guests, uploads, storage, retention) are as described on our Pricing page at the time of purchase.

3. Payment

Package prices are one-time payments in GBP, inclusive of VAT where applicable. Add-ons are charged separately. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis, particularly where an event has not yet taken place.

4. Your responsibilities as a host

You are responsible for the lawful use of your gallery, including obtaining appropriate consent from guests for the collection and display of their photos, and for moderating content if you choose not to enable pre-approval. See our Acceptable Use and Content Policy.

5. Guest content and licence

Guests retain ownership of the photos and videos they upload. By uploading, a guest grants the host and MyEvent a limited licence to store, display and make that content available as configured for the event (e.g. in the private gallery or live slideshow), for the duration of the event and its retention period.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, particularly given reliance on guest devices and venue Wi-Fi outside our control. Uploads are designed to be retryable where a connection is weak.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyEvent's liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant package. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of unsaved content due to guest device or connectivity issues, except where content was successfully uploaded and then lost due to our fault.

8. Termination and suspension

We may suspend or terminate an event that breaches our Acceptable Use and Content Policy, with notice where practicable.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
